Norris to address ICE national dinner

Former Conservative transport minister Steven Norris will be among a distinguished line-up of speakers joining president Jean Venables at ICE’s annual national dinner, hosted by the ICE London next month.

Sustaining London’s infrastructure is to be the theme for the event, which is being held on Thursday 2 April at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel in London.

Prominent speakers from government and industry will focus on the future of the capital’s critical infrastructure networks and the efficient functioning of London’s economy.

In addition to Venables and Norris, Olympic Delivery Authority chairman John Armitt and broadcaster, author, actor and former MP Gyles Brandreth will speak at the event.

There will also be an exhibition showcasing the top projects from the 2009 ICE London Merit Awards (ICE news last week) and artwork from the ICE London schools’ competition on flooding.

Places at the dinner are still available and anyone wishing to attend can contact the ICE London office.
