Norman service resumed?

In his letter Sir Francis McWilliams makes the point that engineers should be proud of the fact that they are part of a successful project team and indeed we are.

However, it is true that the lack of appreciation of engineers' efforts can be somewhat irritating.

In its recent pull out supplement, the Sunday Times published a tribute to the achievements of British engineers (Engineering, ST 23 January). The first and only picture of an individual was not one of the engineers voted upon two or three years ago in NCE as the most note-worthy engineers of recent years.

No, e photograph was of Sir Norman Foster.
