Norfolk County Council tenders up to £780M of highways maintenance contracts

Norfolk County Council is seeking a contractor for civil engineering works in its environmental, transport and development services.

The contract will initially last seven years but may be extended to up to 12 years depending on performance. It is worth between £280M and £780M.

The contractor will be responsible for all highways construction and maintenance. The council may also order off-highway works at car parks, waste sites and household waste recycling centres. It may also call for help improving the council’s winter resources.

Six or more applicants will be invited to tender in the procurement process, the deadline for applications is 2pm on 28 January 2013. Successful candidates will be informed on 20 February.
