Aarsleff Piling has bought a new hydraulic piling hammer in response to client demand for large section driven piles to carry heavier loads. The Junttan HHK-5/7A hammer is suitable for driving steel tubes and H sections and steel sheet, precast concrete and timber piles. It has a two-piece drop weight, which means it can operate as a 5t or 7t hammer, by removing or adding the 2t weight. The 7t ram produces maximum impact energy of 84kNm at full stroke of 1.2m. Impact energy, ram stroke and blow rate can be adjusted to suit ground conditions and pile type.
