Last weekend contractor Thyssen (Great Britain) completed the overnight removal and replacement of three sections of a footbridge across the A5013 Princess Parkway in Manchester to raise piers and increase headroom for vehicles by 800m. The first 60t section was removed a week earlier with the remaining 80t and 120t sections were lifted out and repositioned last weekend. Parkman supervised work for the Highways Agency.
