Nickols joins MWH as second in command

EX- BLACK & Veatch Europe boss David Nickols has joined rival water specialist MWH Europe, Middle East, Africa and India as chief operating officer.

The 1,750-strong, US-owned operation is the number one water consultant in NCE's annual UK Consultants File with £81M of its annual £100M fee income coming from the sector.

Nickols will act as number two to MWH Europe president Rich Wankmuller and will work with the regional managing directors to expand the MWH business.

He will be based in Brussels.

Nickols quit Black & Veatch Europe in June when the US parent sought to take more hands-on control of the business (NCE 9 June).

Other senior staff have also since left.
