Next month in GE. . .

NEXT MONTH Ground Engineering will be covering two important international conferences.

There will be a special focus on the Stress Wave 2000 conference on dynamic pile testing being held in Sao Paulo, Brazil in September.

This will include features on the background and development of the techniques, the attitudes of the geotechnical industry towards dynamic pile testing and new equipment and methods.

Accompanying the issue will be a commemorative supplement to coincide with the first International Young Geotechnical Engineers Conference being held at Southampton that month.

It aims to explore potential career paths in geotechnics and will include contributions from some of the world's leading geotechnical authorities, such as Ralph Peck, Evert Hoek, Peter Fookes, Robert Mair, Suzanne Lacasse, David Sherwood and many others.
