Re-signalling for the southern section of the West Anglia rail route has been announced by Railtrack. The £185M contract will replace 40 year old electro-mechanical signals, the last in Britain. The line runs from Liverpool Street to Elsenham, including the Stansted airport link.

Reclamation work for the new Disneyland in Hong Kong has been won by Dutch Dredging firm HAM, part of HBG. An 80:20 joint venture with Hong Kong Construction will carry out the £320M contract.

Aspen Consulting Group is taking over Edinburgh-based Peter Stephen & Partners. The firm will continue with its civil building conservation and environmental activity.
