Hyder Business Services has won a contract with Lincolnshire County Council for outsourced services worth £250M over 10 years. Responsibilities include finance, IT, personnel, property and catering. Over 800 staff will transfer to Hyder.

Eurotunnel was due to announce more details of its preferred option for the second Channel crossing as NCE went to press. Road or rail bridges and a drive-through tunnel have been considered over the last year.

Wembley Stadium will be redeveloped as a football and rugby venue and not as an international athletics facility, Culture Secretary Chris Smith announced last month. The Football Association will repay £20M of the £120M Lottery grant.
