Cleveland Bridge has won the multi-million pound contract to fit dampers to London's notorious £18M Millennium Bridge. Work is due to start on site in two weeks time.

Structural engineer Arup refused to disclose the exact value of the contract, saying it was 'within the original £5M estimate'. The crossing, which has been closed since last June, is scheduled to re-open by the end of the year.
