Two bridges are among the eight new structures shortlisted for the Prime Minister's Better Public Building Award, to be announced at the British Construction Industry Awards in October. Sixty five projects were nominated for the award, which recognises design and construction excellence in publicly funded schemes.

The full shortlist is: The City Learning Centre, Bristol Conference Centre and Welcome Hall, Earth Centre, Doncaster Gateshead Millennium Bridge Memorial Gardens, Peel Centre, Hendon, London Juniper House, Kings Lynn Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Tamar Bridge, Plymouth Persistence Works, Sheffield.
