The European Investment Bank is lending £100M for construction of seven new Scottish wind farms with a capacity of 323MW, and for refurbishment of 24 hydroelectric power stations.

Contractor Mowlem has secured the Channel Tunnel Rail Link contract 104H at St Pancras station, London. The £61M package will involve work on the North London Line, Midland Main Line and North London Incline, as well as installation of new CTRL lines across the old King's Cross railway lands.
