The ICE East Midlands local association has voted Pick Everard winner of the 2001 Prestige Award for engineering and design work on Rockingham Motor Speedway.

BuildOnline has announced it is to combine its German operations with rival software company MyBau to form the biggest independent supplier of ebusiness software to Europe's £500bn construction industry.

Saint-Gobain Pipelines has been awarded a £3.6M contract to supply 3,000 tonnes of SG Iron tunnel linings on Section 2 of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (CTRL) project.

Section 2 is currently being constructed between Ebbsfleet in Kent and London St Pancras.

The linings are for a series of 3.5m and 4.5m diameter cross passages between the two main 7.15m tunnels lined with precast concrete elements.
