Twelve construction and engineering industry firms, including clients, contractors, consultants and suppliers this week won Queen's Awards for Enterprise. Export awards went to ground engineering specialist Cementation Skanska, supplier of prefabricated steel bridges Mabey & Johnson, Anglian Water, and rock crusher manufacturer BL Pegson.

Consultant Gifford & Partners and bridge anchoring specialist Cintec International both won innovation awards for their work on masonry bridge reinforcement. Paving manufacturer Formpave, level crossing supplier HoldFast and traffic information firm Variable Message Signs also received awards for innovation.

Sustainability awards were won by cycling charity Sustrans, developer St George and renewable energy firm Econnect. For more information visit www. queensawards. org. uk
