Three consortia have pre-qualified for the £190M contract to design, build, part-finance, operate and maintain the South Hampshire Rapid Transit light rail system, linking Fareham with Gosport and Portsmouth. The Smart consortium includes Amec, Mitsubishi, Obayashi and Serco; Harbour Light Rail comprises Carillion, Nuttall, Alstom and Transdev; and South Hampshire Supertram is made up of Stagecoach, Mowlem, Bouygues and Siemens.
