The first high speed crash cushion has been installed on the M1 at junction 11 near Luton. The QuadGuard CEN crash cushion is designed to absorb impacts of up to 110km/h and is manufactured by Highway Car Ltd. Already in use around the world, the cushion is designed to provide a shield at potential danger sites like bridge abutments and sign supports.
