Government departments should not be immune from corporate manslaughter charges, safety groups told MPs this week at a House of Commons briefing on the Labour Party's proposed corporate killing law. The public sector is just as capable as causing work related deaths by poor management as any other, said the Centre for Corporate Accountability, the Trades Union Congress, and Disaster Action.
