lCE President Adrian Long this week launched a scathing ICE region infrastructure report card for Northern Ireland. Overall grade awarded for the province's infrastructure was 'poor'. However, the report did welcome progress made by the Northern Ireland Assembly in tackling waste management and accepting a Regional Transport Strategy.

A Foundation for the Built Environment report into site security criticises industry for failing to properly consider theft and vandalism. Plant theft alone cost the industry £1bn in 1997. The report is now available from www. brebookshop. com
