lThe Highways Agency is to review motorway crash clearance procedures following a 23-hour closure of the M25 last week. A tanker collision spilled quicklime on the clockwise carriageway near Junction 29. Firemen were hampered by full decontamination gear and also needed some hours to cut free the driver, said Essex Police.

Heavy cranes were required to recover the truck from the bottom of an embankment.
