Consultant Parsons Brinckerhoff is to assess the feasibility of developing two toll roads in Quebec and Montreal as public private partnerships on behalf of the Quebec Ministry of Transportation. The firm has also been awarded a three year contract to provide highway services to the Georgia Department of Transportation in the US.

Engineers should promote themselves with more vigour and start explaining their value to society, Association of Consulting Engineers (ACE) chief executive Nicolas Bennett said last month. Speaking at the association's AGM, he urged clients, consultants and contractors to provide more observation points on major construction projects and to issue images of developing work.
