UK piling contractor Piling Solutions, part of the Spie Fondations Group, has bought a new Vermeer HL-1200 mini piling rig with a 1200kg hammer for installing bottom driven tubes from UK distributor AGD Equipment. The rig's 8m long leader allows installation of longer piles in unrestricted headroom and can be shortened to work inside buildings or under bridges. The machine can also be used for top-driving precast concrete piles and steel tubes or for augering when equipped with a rotary head.
