Dutch marine contractor Van Oord is to construct the £19M Lough Mahon siphon crossing, part of the Cork main drainage scheme in Ireland. The siphon will carry wastewater under the Port of Cork shipping channel to a new wastewater treatment plant at Carrigrennan Little Island. Construction is expected to take 18 months.
