News: Tim Selby

British civil engineer Tim Selby was still being held hostage in Bangledesh as NCE went to press (NCE 22 February). A Foreign Office spokeswoman denied rumours that Bangledesh's Prime Minister Shaikh Husina had offered to pay the kidnappers the £1.2M ransom demand.

Negotiations are ongoing to free Selby and two Danish colleagues who were working on a road scheme for Danish Contractor Kampsax when they were seized in Chittagong.
