News: Rama VIII bridge

Owing to an oversight some names were omitted from November's feature on the Rama VIII bridge. For the record, the bridge is being constructed under a designbuild contract between the Bangkok Metropolitan Authority and the CPB joint venture.

Owner's engineers are Epsilion, Mott MacDonald and P&Cygna. CPB consists of China State Construction and Engineering, bridge construction; Scott Wilson Kirkpatrick (Thailand) is responsible for design management, geotechnical design of foundations and construction monitoring and Buckland & Taylor for structural design and erection engineering of the bridge; viaduct design PCD Engineering. Viaduct construction PPD Construction; supply and installation of cable stays and post tensioning steel, BBR Systems; M&E design, Asdecon Corporation.
