News: Millennium Bridge

The future of London's controversial Millennium Bridge was still undecided as NCE went to press. A technical and financial package intended to allow the £18M structure to be modified and reopened later this year was considered by Southwark Council last Tuesday (NCE last week). All parties, including structural engineer Arup and architect Foster & Partners, were due to sign up for the deal last Wednesday.

But what a spokeswoman for the client described as 'minor technical details' were still delaying agreement early this week.
