News: London Underground

London Underground has shortlisted consortia for the two Public Private Partnership contracts for deep Tube lines.

Linc (Bombardier, Mowlem, Fluor Daniel, Alcatel and Anglian Water) and Metronet (Adtranz, WS Atkins, Balfour Beatty, Seeboard and Thames Water) have been shortlisted for the Bakerloo, Central and Victoria Lines contract.

Tubelines (Bechtel, Amey, Halcrow, Hyder and Jarvis) and Tuberail (Brown & Root, Alstom, Amec and Carillion) are competing for the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly Lines contract. Final bids are to be submitted in the autumn.
