News: John Prescott

Deputy prime minister John Prescott has asked the Health & Safety Commission to lead a working group to explore incidents where vehicles have blocked railway lines, as a result of the Great Heck rail crash. The working group will look at whether there are common features between incidents that might have been preventable. Minister for London Keith Hill confirmed in the House of Commons this week that the Highways Agency would be reviewing its standards for safety barriers.
