News: Irish National Roads Authority

Expenditure on Ireland's national roads programme was 19% above that originally budgeted for last year.

According to the Irish National Roads Authority IR£517M (£414M) was spent, compared to an initial budget of £350M.

The increased spend is due to a combination of construction inflation, running at 12% and accelerated progress on some projects.
