News: Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment

Accreditation of engineers involved in cleaning up contaminated brownfield sites is to be carried out by the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment.

The initiative, aimed at stamping out cowboy remediation consultants, is part of a drive by major brownfield clients, consultants and contractors to log contaminated sites on a new Land Condition Record (NCE last week). For more information about the accreditation scheme or for a copy of the record contact the IEMA, tel (01522) 540069.
