NEWS IN BRIEF: The Environment Agency

The Environment Agency has agreed to fund a new National Flood Forum for victims of flooding in England and Wales.

The forum, set up by Bewdley flood victim Gillian Holland, hopes to spread information to homeowners about flooding and what resources are available to help them cope.

These resources will include what flood products are available from manufacturers, what products are effective, plus simple explanations of what the Agency and local authorities are responsible for in terms of flood defence. A newsletter and website will also soon become available as a result of the funding on www. floodforum. org. uk. Until then Holland is available for information on 01299 403055.
