NEWS IN BRIEF: Selby rail crash


Two reports looking at ways to stop road vehicles crashing on to railway lines, ordered in the wake of the Selby rail crash in February 2001, will be jointly published next week.

The reports, by the Health & Safety Executive and the Highways Agency, due out last autumn, will aid decision making on safety improvements at specific locations.
