NEWS IN BRIEF: RAILWAY Civil Engineers Association

ICE NEWS

THE RAILWAY Civil Engineers Association has given its backing to the 2002 National Railway Engineering Safety Awards and Track Safety Quiz.

The RCEA has added to the prize fund which includes a top prize of £5,000 and runners-up sums of £2,000 courtesy of Railtrack.

The event celebrates the achievements of those who improve safety on the rails through awards in six categories.

The winners will be announced at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham on 11 April.
