A large-scale study of tides and the movement of materials on the shore and sea bed between Flamborough Head, Yorkshire, and North Foreland, Thames Estuary, has been launched by UK coastal authorities, the Environment Agency, the Crown Estate and English Nature. The project will examine the effects of changing sea levels and climatic conditions on coastal erosion and deposition.
