News: Client Defence Estates

Client Defence Estates revealed yesterday it is to let just five regional prime contracts - down from the 13 announced 18 months ago. The largest will be worth £750M over seven years. Regional contracts for the South West and the South East - worth £400M each - will go out to tender this summer and autumn respectively. DE's fourth and fifth regional contracts are for the East and the North, including the Midlands and Wales. All contracts are to be let by 2004.
