News: Black Sea gas pipeline

British companies are set to take part in the construction of a 1,160km Black Sea gas pipeline from Russia to Turkey.

Minister for trade Richard Caborn announced the project as the first contract to be awarded under the Exports Credit Guarantee Department's 'Good projects in difficult markets' and will give UKbased Saipem UK and Sonsub work worth up to £85M.
