News: Bell Direct

Engineers are one of the safest groups of drivers according to a survey by insurer Bell Direct. Engineers have an accident rate of 19%, below the average of 23%. The worst professions include electricians at 27% while 29% of clergy have been involved in accidents. Engineers have a 12% driving conviction rate, again below the average of 16%, although above that for clergy of 10%. The firm says it views engineers as a good risk.
