News: Association of Consulting Engineers

A survey by the Association of Consulting Engineers has revealed that 94% of engineering companies are struggling to recruit experienced staff and 80% of companies cannot find graduates. The survey of 600 firms showed that recruiting structural engineers is the biggest problem, with 96% of companies reporting difficulties, and civil and mechanical and electrical not far behind. A lack of specific technical experience was highlighted as the most critical skills shortage.
