New waste site to be built at Dounreay

UK Atomic Energy Authority has applied for planning permission to build a new disposal facility for low level nuclear waste next to its Dounreay site.
The £110M structure is designed to take 175,000m3 of waste arising from decommissioning of redundant reactors and waste silos on site. Related links:Today's top stories
