New Volvo compact excavator for CD McNeil

Ross-shire contractor CD McNeill has bought a second Volvo EC27C compact excavator as part of a reinvestment programme.

The new machine replaces one the firm bought four years ago – at the time one of the first EC27Cs to be sold in the UK.

This latest edition to the firm’s fleet coincides with proprietor Danny McNeill’s son Grant joining the family business after graduating from university and working at Tarmac’s National Contracting Division.

“I’ve now formally joined the family business to help it expand and progress its portfolio of clients and projects, which include anything from private housing to estate work, general contracting, drainage, surfacing and sea defence work,” he said.
