New vice presidents

SIX VICE president's were voted in at last week's Council meeting.

Stanhope founder Peter Rogers and Professor Adrian Long of Belfast's Queens University will be welcomed as new vice president's to serve from November. Long has been earmarked to succeed to the presidency by the selection panel of President, three succeeding vice presidents, immediate past president and three members appointed by the Council.

Other vice presidents to be voted in were Mark Whitby, Brian Crossley, and AME chairman John Bircumshaw as ex-officio vice president.

In a break with tradition, Professor George Fleming had already been elected Succeeding Vice President in December.
