New mini excavators for Caterpillar

Caterpillar has launched three new models in its D-series mini excavator range.

The 301.7D, 302.2D and 302.4D have been designed to work comfortably in confined spaces, and have model configurations that closely reflect their operating weights (1.6t to 2.5t). All can be easily transported on a trailer or in a pick-up truck.

The 301.7D can be specified with a fixed or extending undercarriage, while the 302.2D is fitted with an extending undercarriage as standard. A longer dozer blade is optional on both the 301.7D and 302.2D.

All D-series models come with a canopy cab as standard with operator access from both sides, but there is the option of a premium enclosed cab that includes a heater/defroster/ventilation system and a retractable front window that can be stowed in the roof space.

Dig depths achieved by the new models range from 2.193m for the 310.D with standard arm to 2.634m for the 302.4D with long arm.
