New chief exec and chair for FCC

Spanish construction giant FCC has appointed new chief executive officer Juan Bejar and a new chair Esther Alcocer Koplowitz this week.

Bejar has been at FCC since 2009 and was head of its aggregates subsidiary Cementos Portland Valderrivas. He previously worked at Spanish contractor Ferrovial spearheading the firm’s takeover of BAA.

New chair Esther Alcocer Koplowitz will carry on the firm’s family dynasty at the firm now spanning three generations.

FCC operates in over 50 countries with a global revenue of $17bn (£10.7bn) and more than 90,000 employees.
