New BAA capital director announced

BAA announced yeaterday that Steve Morgan has been appointed to the role of capital director.

Morgan will lead BAA’s ambitious £6.6bn capital investment plan and joins BAA from British Nuclear Fuels where he was commercial director.

The chief executive of Taylor Wimpey UK, John Holland-Kaye will succeed Duncan Garrood as commercial director. Garrod decided to leave BAA to become President of Starbucks within the Alshaya retail group.

"Over the next five years, we will invest £4bn at Heathrow alone, to completely renovate and modernise the airport’s facilities," said chief executive of BAA Colin Matthews. "At the same time, the commercial challenge for our business is greater than ever. I am therefore pleased to be strengthening the senior team at this time, with two people of the obvious calibre of Steve Morgan and John Holland-Kaye."
