New ACE chair urges consultants to promote their work

Michael Whitwell, the newly elected chairman of the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE), has called on consultants to stop being modest about their successes, and promote themselves more.

We need to speak out on the key issues and raise our banner high.'Whitwell believes that the industry needs to encourage new talent to ensure people stay within the sector. 'There are currently massive opportunities out there for the consultancy and engineering sector and we have to get more talent into our businesses to ensure that we have the right resources to take advantage,' he said.Whitwell took up his post on December 5 and will hold the chair for the next 12 months.
