Network Rail Consulting appoints asset manager director

Network Rail Consulting has this week appointed Dan Athol as its asset management and maintenance director.

Athol has moved from Network Rail where he was head of its buildings and civils programme. He has over 15 years of railway experience and is a chartered civil engineer.

“We are very pleased to have Dan join our consulting team,” says Network Rail Consulting managing director Nigel Ash. “He brings a tremendous depth of experience in asset management and project delivery”

Network Rail Consulting is subsidiary of Network Rail headed by chairman Simon Kirby. The new firm will operate outside the UK, offering consultancy services across the full spectrum of Network Rail’s expertise.
