NEC announces new UK modular workshops

Contracts body NEC has announced the second set of its bestselling modular workshops that first ran in 2008.

Two new topics will provide attendees with valuable information on programming under NEC3 and avoiding and managing disputes under NEC3.

NEC3 is a family of contracts that facilitates the implementation of sound project management principles and practice as well as defining legal relationships. It is used by more than 75% of UK consultants and has
been used on projects such as Crossrail and the 2012 Olympics.

The courses have been designed for those with previous NEC training or those with experience working on a project under the NEC. All are half-day sessions and are running at seven locations throughout the UK.

NEC manager Rekha Thawrani said: “NEC is delighted to offer these modular workshops to support our users throughout the UK. We have assembled course programmes that will cover key issues related to successful NEC3 implementation given by experienced tutors. Our aim is to support professionals in achieving excellence in the procurement of works, services and supply.”
