NCE’s iPad edition attracts hundreds of readers

Hundreds of readers have already downloaded NCE’s cutting edge iPad app, since it went live on Friday evening.

With support from our launch partner Vinci Construction UK and Vinci Construction Grands Projets, it has the same content as the weekly NCE but is paperless and with more interaction.

This week you can get more images of the London 2012 Olympic Velodrome, which celebrated its opening this week. There are also extra pictures of the new Redhayes bridge, which was lifted into place earlier this month and which is featured in this week’s bridges special (see p30).

There is also video of the construction of the Presidio Parkway, the tunnelling project designed using building information modelling and featured in this week’s NCE IT special (see p36).

NCE’s app can be downloaded for free via the iTunes app store. Available immediately is your weekly NCE.
In the weeks to come recent supplements will be made available, including Delivering the London Games, Infrastructure in 2011, Delivering Thameslink and Thames Tunnel major project reports.

  • Hi Terry,
There will be a smartphone version of NCE soon. The iPad version is only available on the Apple App Store (worldwide).
    Kind regards,

  • One thing i have noticed about the NCE app is that you don't have to be a member of the ICE to read the content like you do on this website. With us all paying near £200 in subs is this not an oversight on your part? Many engineers esp overseas or 3rd world countries who do not pay/renew thier subs, this enables them to continue with the benifits the magazine provides but without the expense.
