NCE Plus web service launched

New Civil Engineer has launched its web service, NCE Plus, with news and information services tailored to civil engineers.

The site can be accessed free by anyone on the internet. Although NCE Plus shares the brand with the magazine, it is not simply an electronic version of the NCE and NCEI.

It complements rather than copies the magazine, offering news updated throughout the day, searchable product databases and interactive photographs that could not be offered in print.

NCE Plus users can however search and retrieve any magazine article published over the past two years.

The Careers in Construction site, carrying over 800 jobs at any one time now becomes an integral part of NCE Plus.

One of the key features of the site will be the Knowledge Bank. This is the place where civil engineers can describe solutions to problems encountered, large or small, business or technical, and share best practice.

NCE Plus will be bring buyers and sellers together, whether indirectly through areas like the Knowledge Bank or directly through the company and product directories.
