NCE Major Projects Hub goes live

NCE has launched its new Major Projects Hub - an invaluable online resource tracking the progress of more than 100 of the biggest global infrastructure projects.

Each scheme is explained in outline, with a project timeline, image library, news updates, technical details and in-depth reports.

The hub also includes details of clients and the engineering firms working on each project’s key works packages.

Projects from around the world and from every sector are included: from London’s $25bn Crossrail, to Abu Dhabi’s $7bnMetro; from Scotland’s $3.2bn Forth Replacement Crossing to Bahrain’s $2.3bn Qatar Causeway; from New York’s $14bn World Trade Center to Saudi Arabia’s $27bn King Abdullah Economic City; from Britain’s $113bn Round 3 wind farms to Brazil’s $5.4bn Santo Antonio Hydroelectric Power Project.

It has been no small undertaking and there is plenty more to add. Help us make it as comprehensive as possible by filling in any gaps as you spot them. Do you have good images? Is your company involved? If so how? Are you involved personally? Are any projects missing? Please get in touch - email Martina Booth or telephone (020) 7728 4545. To find out about sponsorship opportunities email Leanne Morgan.

The Major Projects Hub is the first of a trio of enhanced online services that NCE will be launching in the next four months. Next month NCE’s Consultants File goes online and interactive. Then in July NCE’s Contractors File will get the fully interactive treatment.

All three are central to NCE’s new strategy for nce.co.uk, designed to give NCE readers the very best information services possible. At the heart of the plan is the move to reserve the bulk of our online content exclusively for ICE members and subscribers. From today only ICE members and subscribers to the magazine will be able to access the majority of the content on the site.

Everything you need to know about activating your subscription can be found here. If you are already registered to nce.co.uk, you will also have received detailed instructions by email.

If you are not an ICE member or subscriber, take advantage of our special introductory offer of £99, (£150 for overseas readers). When you subscribe you will receive New Civil Engineer magazine plus unrestricted access to nce.co.uk - everything you need to stay ahead of the competition.

Subscribe online today www.subscription.co.uk/nce/nehn, or call our subscription hotline on 0844 848 8859 (or +44(0)1858 438804 outside of the UK), and quote the Priority Code NEHN.
