NCE in line for major publishing prize

NCE has been shortlisted for the Business Magazine of the Year award by the Periodical Publishers Association (PPA).

The PPA Awards are the most coveted in the magazine industry, showcasing excellence, rewarding innovation, and providing the benchmark by which UK publishing judges itself.

Recent winners of the Business Magazine of the Year title include the Times Educational Supplement, Farmers Weekly and Property Week.

The 2013 awards recognise work done in 2012, which for NCE included a 40th anniversary special, a first High Speed 2 supplement and a third Crossrail supplement.

Major stories covered included the urgent repairs to Hammersmith and Boston Manor viaducts ahead of the London 2012 Olympics and the debate was fuelled by the challenging of proposals for the New Wear Crossing. NCE also covered the world’s longest cable stay bridge in Vladivostok.
